Accepting and performing transition tasks

Employees can view assigned, unassigned, completed, and all transition tasks. Before they perform a transition task, they must accept a transition task.

Multiple employees who are added to a task group can view their administrative tasks on Unassigned Tasks.

  1. Select To Do > Transition Management.
  2. View the tasks.

A task is displayed on the lists if you are assigned to the task group. A transition-management process that includes the task must have been started for a resource.

    • All tasks that are assigned to employees with no prerequisites are displayed on Assigned Tasks.
    • All tasks that are queued or unassigned with no prerequisites are displayed on Unassigned Tasks.
    • After the prerequisite tasks are completed, tasks with prerequisites are displayed on Assigned Tasks or Unassigned Tasks.
    • All tasks that are in completed, closed, and cancel confirmed status are displayed on Completed Tasks.
    • All tasks in any status that are associated to an employee or prerequisite tasks that are pending for completion are displayed on All Tasks.
  3. To assign an unassigned task to yourself, right-click the task on Unassigned Tasks and click Accept.
After you assign yourself to a task, the task is no longer displayed to the other employees and is moved on Assigned Tasks.
  4. To view instructions that are associated with the task, right-click the task on Assigned Tasks, Unassigned Tasks, Completed Tasks, or All Tasks and click Open.
  5. Perform the tasks that are involved in the transition task.
For example, if the task is to procure a computer for a new hire, perform all the tasks involved from ordering a computer to loading any required software.
