Specifying goal result ranges

This feature is available only if it has been configured for your user role by your organization.

  1. Sign in as Employee.
  2. Select Manage Goals.

    or select My Development > Development Plan,

    or select My Profile > Goals.

  3. Click the Pending and Active tab.
  4. In either the Active or Pending pane, open the goal to update.
    The details page is displayed.
  5. Click the Rating Criteria tab, if it is available to you.
  6. Read the instructions.
    The Better Results Are option that is selected determines the sequence in which you will specify values. If you selected Lower, so that lower results are better, specify values from the highest to the lowest:

    • The Result Range From value for the highest level is automatically set to the lowest value possible, -999,999.00.

    • The Result Range Thru value for level 1 is automatically set to the highest value possible, 999,999.00.

    If you selected Higher, so that higher results are better, specify values from the lowest to the highest:

    • The Result Range Thru value for the highest level is automatically set to the highest value possible, 999,999.00.

    • The Result Range From value for level 1 is automatically set to the lowest value possible, -999,999.00.

    Note: The system will automatically calculate the Result Range Thru values when you save the result ranges.
  7. Optionally, specify a unit of measurement (for example, % or $) in the Result Criterion column.
    An alert notifies you if numbers are missing, are specified in the wrong order, or overlap.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Optionally, click the Detail tab to view how the result ranges are displayed.
    All users who have access to the goal's Goal Results tab can see the results.
