Creating contract types

Select HR Administration > Contracts > Components > Prerequisites.
or
Select Employment Contract Administrator > Set Up > Components.

Click the Types tab, and then click
Create.
orClick Templates. From the Contract Templates by Type list, select Create.
- Specify this information:
- Contract Type
- Specify a name that indicates the type of contract. For example, Limited Term, or Unlimited Term.
- Description
- Specify a description for the contract type.
- Rehire Waiting Period
- Optionally, specify the amount of time that must pass until an employee can be
rehired to this type of contract. Specify a number and then use the
field to the right to select the unit of time (days, weeks, months,
or years).Note: The Rehire Waiting Period field is for informational purposes only. It does not prevent the rehire action from being invoked and completed.
- Fixed Term
- Optionally, select this check box to require contracts with this type to have an end date.
- Active
- Optionally, select this check box to make the contract type active so it can be used on an employment contract.

In the Contract Expiration Alerts section, specify this information:
- Number of days prior to expiration of a Contract for red alert
- Optionally, specify a number to indicate how many days before the expiration of a contract that a red alert is displayed.
- Number of days prior to expiration of a Contract for yellow alert
- Optionally, specify a number to indicate how many days before the expiration of a contract that a yellow alert is displayed.
- Click Save.
