Transferring distributed budget amounts

Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.

When you transfer a distributed amount from one manager to another, you do not change the total budget amount.

  1. Select Development Planning > Learning Budgets > Calculate Budgets.
  2. Click the Calculation Results tab.
  3. On the Budgets panel, select the budget to adjust.
  4. On the Distributed Budget Amounts panel, select the manager to transfer a distributed amount from and select Transfer From Budget.
    Note: To view a manager's position in the manager structure, click the Manager Structure button. Click the boxes above or below the manager to view the hierarchy to expand the structure.
  5. On the Transfer Budget Amount form, specify this information:
    Note: The Transferring From manager is the manager that you selected.
    Manager
    Select the manager to which to transfer the distributed amount.
    Note: You can transfer only to a manager that already has a distribution record in this budget.
    To Transfer
    Specify the amount to be transferred from the "Transferring From" manager to the "Transferring To" manager.
  6. Click OK.
  7. On the Distributed Budget Amounts panel, verify that the transfer displays in the Actual Budget Amount column of the "Transferring From" and "Transferring To" managers. The calculated amounts remain unchanged.
  8. To undo the transfer, you can either enter a reverse transfer or recalculate the budget. Recalculating the budget restores the total budget amount and the distributed budget calculations to their original values.
