Checklist statuses

Status Description
Proposed

This is the status when you create a new checklist or a new version of an existing checklist.

A Proposed checklist can be updated or deleted and cannot be assigned to resources.

Active

This is the status after you activate a checklist.

An Active checklist can be assigned to resources and can no longer be updated or deleted.

Only one version of a checklist can be Active at any time. If you activate another version of the checklist, the previously Active checklist becomes Inactive.

Inactive

This is the status after you inactivate an Active checklist.

Inactive checklists cannot be updated or deleted and can no longer be assigned to new resources. However, resources that are currently assigned to inactive checklists can still complete the work on their checklist components, and their managers or mentors can validate the components and complete the checklists.

It is possible for all versions of a checklist to be in Inactive status.

You can reactivate an Inactive checklist. If you do, any current Active version of the same checklist will be inactivated.
