Rejecting, cancelling, or waiving resource development activities for non-finalized budgets
Regardless of who requested or assigned development activities for a resource, learning managers can perform these actions.
-
Reject a non-required resource development activity when it is in Requested Activity status.
-
Cancel a non-required resource development activity at any time after it has been approved (even if it has a confirmed registration), but not after the activity is completed.
-
Waive required resource development activity at any time after it has been approved (even if it has a confirmed registration), but not after the activity is completed.
These actions are final. If you want to re-assign the same development activity later, you must perform the Assign Activity action again. The only exception is if you waive development activities that have been assigned as a checklist component. In this case, you can revert the Waive action, but only from the checklist.
- Resources can withdraw from their own non-required development activities when they are in any status except Complete.
- Resource managers can perform the following actions for their direct reports: Reject non-required development activities in Requested Activity status, cancel non-required development activities in Approved status, and waive required development activities in Approved status.
- Mentors can perform the same actions for their mentees as managers for their direct reports.
