Notification rules
A notification rule uses a notification template. It determines when the notification template's notification text is sent. Automatic notification rules are triggered automatically when the condition selected in the Send Notification When field is met. Scheduled notifications must be submitted manually or scheduled manually under . You can define these types of notification rules:

To define registration-related notification rules (used when a registration is confirmed, wait listed, cancelled, withdrawn, or rejected), see Defining automatic notification rules for registration.

To define session participation notification rules (used when session participation is complete or incomplete), see Defining automatic notification rules for participation.

To define a session change notification rule (used when there is an opening in a manual wait list or changes in session details), see Defining automatic notification rules for session changes.

Note: Notifications to managers that registrations are awaiting approval are applicable only if your organization requires manager approval of employee-initiated registrations.
