Updating salary structures without changing effective dates
- Select Compensation > Set Up > Salary Structures > Salary Structures.

To apply a constant increase (percent or amount) to all active
iterations for a salary structure, highlight the salary structure, select Actions > Update Rates For Existing Version, specify the percentage or amount of increase to apply, and click
OK.
All the rates in all active iterations for the salary structure are increased by the amount or percentage specified.

If you do not want to apply a constant increase or if you want to add a
new grade, open the salary structure to update, and specify this information:
Note:
If iterations exist, you cannot modify any of the header information.

To modify the grade names, on the Grades tab, specify new names, and click Save.

To modify zone names, on the Zones tab, specify new names, and click Save.

To modify the pay rates for an iteration, use one of these methods:

To modify the pay rates in a linear format (one below the other), click the iteration number, modify the applicable rates, and click Save.

To modify the rates on the matrix, click in the Status column of the iteration, modify the applicable rates, and click Save.

To add a grade to an existing salary structure and version, use this procedure:

On the Grades tab, click Create.

On the Salary Structure Grade form, add a grade number and grade description, and click Save.
Note:The grade number must be higher than the highest grade number on the salary structure. When you save, the system assigns the next consecutive number.

On the Iterations tab, click the Status field for the iteration for which to add rates and add rates for the new grade on the matrix.
