Rate progression sequence

Use these steps to define and process automatic rate progressions.

  1. Define the performance rating, hours threshold, length of service rules, and waiting periods to be used by the rate progression rules.
  2. Define the rate progressions and associated rate progression rules. The rate progression rules are associated with one or more of the rules that were defined in step 1.
  3. Attach the rate progression to the step and grade schedule.
  4. Assign the step and grade schedule to a work assignment or a combination of a position and job.
  5. Specify the hours records, unless they were imported from a payroll system.
  6. Process the rate progression rules.
