Creating performance rating and compa ratio
Use this procedure to create a matrix of guidelines. These guidelines are based on a resource's performance rating and current salary relative to the compa ratio defined for the salary structure for the resource.
-
On the Create Performance Rating And Compa Ratio
Guideline form, specify this information:
- Eligibility Group
- For the guidelines to apply to a specific eligibility
group, select the group. If you do not select an eligibility group, the guideline
applies to all resources. Note: A planning rule can have only one guideline of any type defined for any given eligibility group. There can be only one blank eligibility group.
- Prorate Guidelines By Resource Proration Factor
- If you selected Prorate for the budget calculation, you can prorate the guidelines.
If you select this check box, the guidelines are adjusted by the proration factor
used in budget calculations. Select Prorate Threshold By Resource Proration Factor on the Validation tab to ensure that the
validations are against the prorated amounts.
Select this option if the manager is going to specify prorated amounts, so that the manager can view prorated guidelines. For the manager to specify non-prorated amounts and have the amounts prorated by the system, select Adjust Award By Proration Factor on the Compensation Awarding view and do not prorate the guidelines.
- Click Save.
-
On the Guideline
Ranges tab, specify the beginning and ending compa ratio percentages.
For example, a resource whose current salary is 76% of the compa ratio would fall within the guidelines defined for the 75% to 100% range.
-
On the Performance Ratings for
Guidelines tab, view the performance ratings for the guidelines.
Note: The performance ratings are the default from the rating scale that you selected on the Planning Rule form.
- On the Rates tab, specify the recommended increase beginning and ending percentages for each rating or zone.
- On the Guidelines Matrix tab, click the planning rule to view a matrix of the guidelines that you created.
