Creating new salary above salary structure range validation

Note: 

This validation is available only on salary-type planning rules.

When you define a new salary above salary structure range validation, the manager receives a message if the new salary is above the resource's assigned salary structure maximum.

  1. On the Validation Rules tab, select Create > Create New Salary Above Salary Structure Range.
  2. On the Define New Award Above Salary Structure Range Validation form, specify this information:
    Eligibility Group

    Select the eligibility group for the validations.

    Process as Error

    If you select this check box, the application will not process the award.

    Percent Over Salary Structure Allowed

    If you want the manager to be able to go over the salary structure by a percentage, specify the percent here; for example 1%. This gives the manager some flexibility in calculating awards, which might not otherwise add up to exactly the salary structure amount.

    Amount Over Salary Structure Allowed

    If you want the manager to be able to go over the budget amount by an amount , specify the amount here. This gives the manager some flexibility in calculating awards, which might not otherwise add up to exactly the budgeted amount.

  3. Click Save.
