Implementing organization unit security for an HR generalist
An HR generalist can have access to all organization units, or can be restricted to a subset of organization units within an organization. To implement this security, use the HRGeneralistActorOrgUnit and HRGeneralistEmp roles for your HR generalist users rather than the HRGeneralist and Employee roles. In addition, the administrator must assign these roles to the user as part of the security set up processes in Infor HR Talent. After the roles are assigned, the administrator must create a relationship between the actor and any organization units to which the actor needs access. This relationship is created at the highest organization unit level to which the actor needs access. This relationship allows access to that organization unit and any other organization units that descend from it in the same branch of the organization structure.
Implementing this type of security allows an HR generalist to do their job while having access to only a subset of resources within an organization. This can protect privacy and improve system performance.
