Updating other parameters for performance improvements
The performance of some Async actions can be improved by managing other parameters:
- Benefits actions with benefits groups
If the Benefits action uses benefit groups, you can configure the benefit groups to use Saved benefit group membership data. This improves performance because the action can process saved data.
- Actions with custom groups
If the action uses custom groups, review how your custom groups are defined and determine if you can make the definition more efficient.
- Change the queue
If your action is sent to a queue that usually has many actions queued, consider changing the queue for that action to a less active queue so that next time it can run without competing with other actions in the original queue.
- Increase the Max Active
Actions
As an alternative to changing the queue, consider increasing Max Active Actions for that queue.
- Change the queue priority
If your action is taking priority over actions in a lower priority queue, but you want those lower priority actions to run more regularly, consider moving your action to that lower priority queue.
