Defining activities
- Select Learning and Development > Catalog > Activities And Sessions.
- Click Create. To copy and modify an activity right-click the activity and select Copy Activity.

Specify this information:
- Activity ID
- Specify the activity ID.
- Activity
- Specify activity name.
- Description

Specify the activity description.
- Type
-
Select the activity type.
- Effective Date
- Specify the effective date for the activity.
- Active

Turn the Active switch on to make the activity active. Inactive activities are not shown in lists.
- Click Submit.

On the Details tab, specify this
information:
- Category

Select the activity category.
- Focus
-
Select the activity focus.
- Difficulty Level
- Select difficulty level.
- Available For Enrollment To All Employees
- Select this option to make the activity eligible for all employees.
- Available For Enrollment To External Learners
- Select this option to make the activity available for external learners in addition to other employees.
- Enable Learners To Mark Their Activity As Complete
- Select this option to enable employees to mark their own activities
complete instead of enabling only learning administrators to mark activities as
complete. You can also enable bulk enablement of the feature.

- Delivery Type

Select the activity delivery type
- Exclude from Catalog

Move the slider to exclude the activity from the catalog.
- Certificate Template
- Select the certificate template.
- Delivery Method

Select the activity delivery method.
- Provider
- Specify the activity provider.
- Provider Source
- Specify whether the source of the activity is Internal or External.
- Desktop, Mobile, Tablet
- Select all applicable display types.
- Contact Person
- Select the activity contact person.
- Duration
- Specify activity duration
- Duration Units
- Select the duration unit type.
- Use Sessions For This Activity

Select this option if sessions are used.
- Session Frequency
-
Select the frequency per year that the activity is offered.
- Enable Notifications
- Move the slider to enable notifications and select whether to send all notification or only activity-specific notifications.
- Notification Level
- Select if you want all notifications to be sent or only the activity-specific notifications.
- Require Approval
- If approval is required, then turn on the Require Approval switch to enable the approval requirement and specify the number of days before the approval request expires.
- Approver
- Specify the approver for the activity.
If you select Manager and Learning Administrator, both the manager and the learning administrator must approve the request. If either of them rejects the approval, the request is rejected.
This option is available only when the Require Approval switch is on.
- Skip Finalize Action
- Select this option if to ignore a finalizing action. Activity status is automatically changed to Complete when the employee completes the activity.
- Allow Re-take On Demand
- Select this option to enable employees to re-enroll in activities that they have completed.
- Days Before Waive Request Expires
- Specify the number of days before the waive request expires.

Specify the activity summary.
- Requirement
- Specify activity requirements.
- Audience
- Specify the intended audience.
- Objectives
- Specify activity objectives.
- Expected Result

Specify information on the results of the activity. You can specify the resulting competency, skill, or credential on the Outcomes tab of the activity after you save this activity.
- Meeting Details
- Specify the details for online meetings.
- Search Tags
- Specify the search tags that can be used to locate this when searching for activities.
- IMS ID
- Specify the IMS ID
- Media Code
- Specify the media code.
- E-Learning URL
- If the activity is online, then specify the URL of the website where the learning is provided.
- Content Preview Video
- Select the video file for content preview.
- Total Hours
- Specify the total number of activity hours.
- Click Save.
