Defining due date calculation methods for checklists
When you define a checklist, you must assign a due date. The due date can be an actual date or it can be a calculated date that is based on a date on the resource's record.
- Select Learning and Development > Set Up > Checklist Components > Due Date Calculation Methods.
- Click Create.

Specify this information:
- Effective Date

Required. Specify the date on which the due date calculation method becomes effective.
- Due Date Calculation Method

Required. Specify the due date calculation method name.
- Description

Specify a description for the due date calculation method. If you leave this field blank, the due date calculation method name defaults.
- Active

The due date calculation method is active by default. Clear this check box to inactivate it.
- Units

Specify the number of units and select the unit type (for example, 30 Days).
- Duration

Select After or Before.
- Calculation Date Option

Select the date on which the calculation is based (for example, Work Assignment Effective Date).
A complete due date calculation method could be "30 Days After Work Assignment Effective Date."
- Click Save.
