Defining notification templates

Notification templates are associated with a recipient category, a text, which is an email template, and one or more rules determining when the notification is triggered.
  1. Select Learning and Development > Set Up > Notifications > Templates.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify the effective date.

    Notification Template

    Required. Specify the name of the notification template.

    Description

    Specify a description for the notification template.

    Recipient Category

    Select the recipient category associated with the template.

    Preferred Email Language
    Select whether you want the email to display based on the manager or the employee locale.
    User Alerts
    Select this option to use alerts for this template.
    Active

    The template is active by default. To inactivate the notification template, clear the check box. Inactive notification templates are not displayed lists.

  4. Click Save.

    The Text tab displays.

  5. To define a template text, click Create. See Defining notification text.
