Making global changes to attendance records

You can change individual attendance records either directly on the record list or by opening the record.

To make global changes to all attendance records in the session or to all attendance records for a specific attendance date, you can use the Update All Attendance action.

Note: The original session classes and the session roster do not get updated with changes you make to the attendance records. The session roster remains based on the classes that were defined and the participants that were confirmed at the time that you created the attendance records.
  1. Select Learning and Development > Registration And Completion > Manage Attendance.
  2. To make global changes to all attendance records in a session, on the Record Attendance tab, right-click the session, and select Update All Attendance.

    or

    To make global changes to all attendance records for an attendance date, click Attendance By Date, right-click the date to copy, and select Update All Attendance.

  3. On the Update All Attendance form, specify this information:
    Hours Attended

    To change the hours attended for each participant for the session or attendance date, specify the new number of hours.

    Note: This does not change the class hours, only the hours attended.
    Absence

    If adding a global absence to all records, select Excused or Unexcused.

    Absence Reason

    If adding a global absence to all records, select the reason for the absence.

    Comment

    Specify a comment explaining your changes

  4. Click OK.

    The changes are made to each attendance record for the session or attendance date.

    If the hours attended do not match the class hours, a yellow indicator displays.

    You can update the class hours on the Attendance Dates form. Highlight a date, and click Actions > Update, change the hours, and click OK.
