Creating pay codes

  1. Select Benefits > Set Up > Payroll Codes > Pay Codes.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Define the code:
    Effective Date

    Select a date on which the pay code is effective.

    Pay Code

    Specify an identifier for the pay code. We recommend that this matches the code in your payroll application so that mapping is not required.

    Description

    Specify a description for the pay code.

    Active

    The status is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

  4. Click Save.
