IRS employer reporting
The XML file is submitted to the IRS to report offers of health coverage. These steps must be
completed before you create an XML file to submit to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
for employer reporting:
- Register to use the IRS e-Services Tool
- Apply for Information Return Transmitter Control Code (TCC) through the IRS
- Enable ACA Reporting. See Creating benefits organizations.
- Set up the reporting structure:
- Create ALE Members. See Setting up ALE members.
- Create ALE Groups for reporting year. See Setting up ALE member groups.
- Complete the 1094 C or 1094 B information
- Set up ACA IRS Codes. See Creating IRS employee reporting.
