Changing the date in a life event

Benefits administrators can change event dates in life events. When a life event date is changed, the original event date is shown as inactive, and the new event date is shown with the original status.

The event date can be changed only in life events that meet these criteria:

  • The event’s type is life event
  • The life event is not finalized and not inactive
  • The life event is eligible for benefit enrollments
  • The life event is associated with an enrollment rule with a benefit group that has a work assignment group
  • The life event is associated with an enrollment rule with no full flex plan
  1. Access the enrollment through a Life Event application page like Enrollment Events or Resources.
  2. Click the Actions menu and select Change Event Date.
  3. Specify this information:
    New Event Date
    Specify the new event date.
    Extension Days
    Specify the number of days the event is active past the new event date.
    Reason
    Specify a reason for the new event date.
  4. Click Submit.
