FMLA leave restore process
When you run Restore FMLA Leave, the valid Absence Plans are used to determine which service records meet the restore criteria.
Leave of Absence records must meet these requirements:
- Leaves are on-intermittent with a Completed status. Leave End Date must be
less than or equal to the Process Through Date.
Leaves are Intermittent with a status of Completed, Approved, or On Leave. Leave Begin Date must be less than or equal to the Process Through Date.
Resource Plan
- When a leave of absence record meets the requirements, the begin and end dates of service records to restore are determined.
- If there is a qualifying Resource Plan based on the parameters in the Plan section, then active records are processed. Active records are those where the Plan Entry date is on or before Process Through Date. Plan End must be on or after the Process Through Date.
- After it is determined that the leave record has a valid Absence Plan to create transactions for, all qualified service records are cycled thorough.
Service Records
- Must be an event.
- Have a date on or after the Leave Begin Date
- If leave status is Completed and the begin date is at least 1 year before the Process Through Date or the Leave End Date, whichever is earlier.
- If the leave is not completed, it has a date at least 1 year before Process Through Date.
- Have a blank Restore Date. Records that already contain a Restore Date were already restored by a previous Restore FMLA action and should not be processed again.
Transaction Records
- To restore a service record, a transaction must exist and qualify:
- Transaction Type is Use
- Belongs to the Processing Resource Plan
- Has the same date as the Service Record
- Has the same number of hours as the Service Record
- When a Service Record matches the parameters, a report record is created.
These records can be viewed on the Restored FMLA list. Note: Records are only displayed on Restored FMLA list if the action was run with the List Records To Restore update option.
- If a transaction is not found, then
a
No transactions found
message is displayed on the record and the system record is not restored. .Note: Message is only displayed if Restore FMLA action was run with the Create Restore Transaction update option. - If the Create Restore Transactions Update option was used for Restore FMLA action, the Service Record is updated with a Restored Date. A transaction is created with a Restore Available Balance type and a status of Unprocessed. You can view this transaction on the Manual Transactions page.
