Negative balance options

Negative balance options are options that are available on the balance rule for processing plan balances when they have reached a negative value.

Using the negative balance options, you can:

• Link plan balances for usage. When a resource's plan balance reaches zero, the next plan balance that is defined is used to record usage.
• Optionally, record remaining hours used as unpaid time when the plan balance is reduced to zero.
• Define the order in which to process absence plans when the plan has reached a negative value.
