Enabling balances interface

Use this procedure to enable the interfacing of balances for hours and earnings on paychecks and interface export files.

  1. Select Absence Management > Set Up > Plans and Components.
  2. Click the Rules tab, and scroll to the Balance section.
  3. Open the balance rule to update.
  4. On the Interface tab, define the available hours or earnings balances to interface. Indicate how to display the balance descriptions in the interface. Specify this information:
    Available/Interface
    To interface the available hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the available balance.
    Accrued/Interface
    To interface the accrued hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the accrued balance.
    Reserve/Interface
    To interface the reserve hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the reserve balance.
    Carryover/Interface
    To interface the carryover hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the reserve carryover balance.
    Allotment/Interface
    To interface the allotment hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the reserve allotment balance.
    Annual Used/Interface
    To interface annual used hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the balance.
    Annual Available/Interface
    To interface annual available hours balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the reserve balance.
    Beginning Available/Interface
    To interface the beginning available hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the beginning available balance.
    Current Available/Interface
    To interface the current available hours or earnings balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the current available balance.
    Annual Adjusted/Interface
    To interface the annual adjusted hours balance, specify the description to print next to the balance. Select whether to interface the annual adjusted balance.
  5. Click Save.
  6. To view the rule setup and related tables, calculation and formula details, click the Rule Details button.
