Absence transactions
When you run the Process Plans action, you create absence transactions for resources who are enrolled in absence plans.
The Process Plans action is used to perform these functions for all of the eligible resources who are active in an absence plan:
- Calculates dates on the Resource Plan:
- Service Begin Date
- Accrual Start Date
- Accrual From Date
- Allotment Begin Date
- Usage Begin Date
- Limit Reset Point
- Calculates accruals according to plan rules.
- Calculates allotments according to absence plan rules.
- Applies limits for ongoing balances, annual accruals and carryovers according to Limit rules.
- Transfers accruals and allotments into eligible balances according to usage rules.
- Processes absence event usage transactions according to balance rules.
- Updates manual adjustments to absence plan balances.
- Calculates lost carryover according to carryover limit end date.
Note: The dates and amounts that are
calculated do not update the Resource Plan Dates
and Balances tab until the Close Plans action is run. After you run Process
Plans and before you run Close Plans, the calculated dates and amounts can be viewed on these
resource plan tabs:
- In Process Balances
- In Process Dates
All service records for processing is included in the Process Plans action. If a service code is changed after you run the action, then the organization unit in the Process Monitor for Plan Processing is set to error. Before you can run the Close Plans action, you must rerun the Process Plans action.
