Enhancement to set a corporate time zone
In environments where the server time zone is used to calculate the current date, users can now set a corporate time zone to be used by all HR Talent modules.
For multi-tenant customers, dates are stored in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and users do not have the option to change the server time zone. On-premise and single-tenant customers can configure their server time zone and will not benefit from this enhancement.
This enhancement is not recommended for companies that are performing extensive processing across multiple time zones around the world. For these types of companies, we recommend using UTC as the default corporate time zone.
No action is required if your company does not require a corporate time zone or if your default corporate time zone is set to UTC.
If you have specified the corporate time zone or if you are planning on using a different time zone than UTC, then you must update all configurations to use the corporate date instead of the current date.
To configure the corporate time zone, select Make Default to set the corporate time zone. This time zone is applied to all applications where date is used.
. Search for the Time Zone of your corporate headquarters, or select UTC if you are processing in different time zones. SelectYou must also add a configuration parameter "effectivedate.timezone.basis”. The valid values for this parameter are SYSTEM, CORPORATE, or USER.
See KB 2245971 and KB 2244817 for more information.
