Scheduling an export for a later time

You can schedule one or more exports of a queue report for a later time. Regular exports can be scheduled by date, frequency, or other type. Reports export to a .CSV file. Exported files can be viewed in Print Reports.

Exports can be scheduled for a range of dates, and specific dates within that range can be excluded.

You can schedule an exclusion or an exclusion set. An exclusion is a single criterion, such as a date in a scheduled export, when the export is not run. An exclusion set can be made up of one or more exclusions. You can specify that all or any members of the set must match to trigger an exclusion.

Example of exclusions:

Set Month to December and Day to 25: When this exclusion is specified, if the schedule includes any day in December or the 25th of any month, it is excluded. This means the 25th of every month is blocked and all of December is blocked.

Set Month to December and day to 25: When this exclusion is specified, if the schedule includes December 25th it is blocked.

  1. Select Queues > Agent Queue or click Manager Queue.
  2. Select the report that you want to export.
  3. Select Export to CSV.
  4. Click Schedule.
  5. Specify this information:
    Notification Type
    Specify the circumstances under which email notifications are sent: Never, On Failure, Always.
    Email Address
    Specify the email address of the recipient of notifications.
    Schedule Type
    Specify the parameters for the exports.
    First Time To Run
    Specify the date that the action is initially run.
    Last Time To Run
    Specify the date that the action will run for the last time.
    Schedule Exclusion
    Optionally, specify an exclusion if you would like an action not to run during the time period that you specified in the fields above. When you specify an exclusion, the action is not run during the exclusion period. If you want to schedule an exclusion set rather than an exclusion, leave this field blank.
    Schedule Exclusion Set
    Optionally, specify an exclusion set if you would like an action not to run during the time period that you specified in the fields above. When you specify an exclusion set, the action is not run during the exclusion period. If you want to schedule an exclusion rather than an exclusion set, leave this field blank.
    Strategy
    Specify a strategy that is employed in case the action fails.
    Report Options
    Specify to receive the schedule report.
    Number Of Retries
    Specify the number of times the system retries the action when it fails.
    Continue On Failure To Run
    Select this feature to continue to run the action when errors are occur, rather than stopping the action when an error occurs.
  6. Click OK.
