Transition tasks and associated actions

Transition programs contain tasks that candidates, resources, recruiters, managers and administrators complete as they progress through a program. Each role performs actions that are associated with the tasks. For example,

  • a resource acknowledges a policy
  • an IT administrator provides a laptop for a new resource
  • an administrator approves a resource's Form I-9

A transition task can be associated with a prerequisite task. For example, before you can procure a laptop for an employee, the employee must have an employee ID. In this example, the transition program can include:

  • a task for the procurement of the laptop
  • a prerequisite task for the procurement of an employee ID

Any task that has a prerequisite is not actionable until the prerequisite task has been completed.

There are multiple task types. Each task type is used for a specific purpose, such as for gathering information or providing the candidate or resource information about company policies. Some task types can include acknowledgment text, a signature, and validation of the last four digits of the candidate or resource's social security number.
