Program eligibility and task eligibility

Program eligibility enables organizations to build and deliver programs to specific candidate or resource groups and to restrict ineligible groups from accessing those programs. Task eligibility enables organizations to build and deliver tasks to specific candidate or resource groups and to restrict ineligible groups from accessing those tasks.

During a hire or transition, the system evaluates the groups to which the candidate or resource belongs. If the person is a member of any of the groups that are assigned to the program, then the program is assigned to the person. If the person is not a member of any of the groups that are assigned to the program, then the program is not assigned. If no groups are assigned to a program, then the program is assigned to the candidate or resource.

For example, a program can be built for resources who work in either the organization’s New York office or in its Dallas office. A group is created for resources in the New York office and another group for resources who work in the Dallas office. Both groups can be attached to the program. Any resource who belongs to either of these groups is eligible for the program.

After the system evaluates program eligibility, it evaluates task eligibility. For example, an organization can create a program for full-time and part-time employees but assign specific tasks only to full-time employees. Specifics for task eligibility is discussed elsewhere in this guide.
