Defining and maintaining candidate disposition reasons

Recruiters use candidate disposition reasons to explain why a candidate was not hired.

To define a candidate disposition reason, follow these steps:

  1. Access Administrator > Talent Acquisition > Code Setup> Disposition Reasons.
  2. Click New.
  3. On the Disposition Reason form, use the following guidelines to enter field values.
    Effective Date

Required. Enter the effective date for the disposition reason.

    Candidate Disposition reason

Required. Type a name for the candidate disposition reason. For example, "Does not meet minimal requirements."

    Description

Required. Type a description of the candidate disposition reason.

    Active

The disposition reason is active by default. Clear the Active check box to make the disposition reason inactive. Inactive disposition reasons do not display in select lists.

Use This Disposition Code When a Candidate Withdraws From Consideration

Select this check box if you want this disposition reason to be used when a candidate withdraws.

    Note:

Because the disposition reason will be assigned to a candidate automatically if the candidate withdraws, only one disposition code per organization should be defined for use when a candidate withdraws.
