Requesting references

  1. Open a candidate's job application.
  2. Click the candidate's email address in the job application header.
  3. On Send Email, select the template to be used and the Request For References check box, and click Next.

    The text of the email appears.

  4. Review and modify the email if required.
    Note: 

    For internal candidates, the subject of the email is the text of the notification they receive in the Talent Acquisition application.

  5. Click Send.

    The following documents are created:

    • A Sent correspondence record on the Correspondence tab.

    • For external candidates, an email that contains a link to Candidate Space, where the candidate can specify references.

      or

      For internal candidates, an email (without a link), and a system notification. The notification title is the subject you specified on the email, and the notification provides a link to the Talent Acquisition page where the candidate can enter references.

      When the candidate saves a reference, it is displayed immediately on the References tab of the candidate's job application.
