Work assignment addition

Recruiters can request to add a work assignment to an internal candidate's profile with the Add Assignment action after they accept an offer and a start date has been set. This request can be routed to multiple people who can add information. The HR administrator can update the information when the action is completed. If your organization uses the On Board selection process, ensure that onboarding tasks are initiated before you perform the Add Assignment action.

After completing the Add Assignment action, the resource's current work assignments remain unchanged. If no work assignments exist, then the new work assignment is created as the primary assignment. If work assignments exist, then the new work assignment is not the primary assignment. To modify an existing assignment, use the Transfer action.

If a Legacy Employment Contracts is defined and approved on the job offer, then it cannot be changed on the Add Assignment action. The contract document that is generated during the offer becomes an active Legacy Employment Contracts on the resource's record as soon as the Add Assignment action is completed. It can be changed only through a Legacy Employment Contracts amendment.
