Creating legacy employment contract documents

Use this process for Legacy Employment Contracts only.

The offer must be defined with an offer template or a contract template before you can generate the offer letter or contract document.

To generate an offer letter and contract document, complete these steps.

  1. Open the job application and select Actions > Create Offer Letter And Contract.
  2. Click OK.

    On the Offer And Contact tab, the job offer status changes to Created.

    • If you attached an offer template to the offer, an offer letter is generated and added to the job application as an attachment.

    • If you attached an employment contract template to the offer, an employment contract document is generated and added to the job application as an attachment.

  3. To view either document, click the Attachments link, open the attachment, click the arrow next to the Browse button, and select Open.

    If you are using a document template for the offer letter, verify that all the variables in the template have resolved properly. You can edit the document and save it. For example, if the document contains a section that is not applicable to the candidate, you can remove this section, save the document to your computer, and upload the updated document to the same attachment.

    Note: 

    If you use the Request Offer Review process to submit an offer and make changes to the offer document, you must save the file to your computer under the same file name (offer letter.rtf) and upload it back to the same attachment as the original offer document so that the correct version of the document can be attached to the offer.

    Offer and contract documents can be printed if you prefer to mail them to the candidate to sign. You can also email the documents by clicking the Email button next to the attachment.
