Requisition process overview

Requisitions drive the Talent Acquisition process from the point when a staffing requirement is identified to the point where a candidate is hired or a resource is transferred to fill the position.

A requisition is always tied to a position, which is in turn tied to a job. Jobs and positions are defined in Administrator > Setup. Before you can create a requisition, the administrator must perform the appropriate Infor HR Talent setup and Talent Acquisition setup. For more information on Infor HR Talent setup, see the Infor HR Talent User Guide. Talent Acquisition setup is described in this guide.

The following steps are typical.

Step Description Role References
1

Create a Draft requisition (from scratch or by copying an existing requisition).

The requisition may or may not include a list of approvers.

2

Request approval for own Draft requisition (hiring manager)

3

Approve requisition in inbasket (Start > My Inbasket).

Approvers receive a notification that lets them access the requisition in the inbasket or approvers access their inbasket directly. Approvers can review and approve or return the requisition.

The requisition remains in Approval Requested status until the final approver approves. The requisition status then changes to Pending.

Note:

Administrators, approvers on the approval chain, and requesters can monitor the routing status of their request by opening the requisition and clicking the Approval Tracking link. These roles can take action or monitor requests that are awaiting approval. They can view a history and errors that are associated with requests.

If request comes from hiring manager for him/herself, any designated approvers in the order they are listed, then the recruiter.

If request comes from hiring manager for another hiring manager, the hiring manager, any designated approvers in the order they are listed, then the recruiter.

If request comes from recruiter, the hiring manager then any designated approvers in the order they are listed.

Note:

By default, recruiters and recruiter administrators approve their own requisitions manually. However, their security can be modified to use the Request Approval action.
