Associating a workflow with a requisition

Before a requisition can trigger a workflow, the workflow must be associated with the requisition. Workflows are initially associated with requisitions when the requisition is set up in the system. A recruiter or hiring manager might want to update the position, including associating it with a different workflow. In this case, the recruiter or hiring manager uses the requisition to associate a different workflow.

If a workflow is defaulted to a position, then any requisition created using that position is assigned that specific hiring workflow. Users can change the workflow when they create the requisition if they have permission. Users can change the workflow even if the requisition has been approved.

If the workflow field is left blank and configurable hiring workflow is not yet required, then the requisition continues to follow the ‘classic’ workflow process. If the user continues with a workflow selected, then the requisition follows the workflow process that was selected.

  1. Select Recruiter > Requisitions.
  2. Select a requisition.
  3. Specify this information:
    Hiring Workflow
Specify the workflow that is associated with the requisition.
