Assigning an investigator to an incident

You must have the Safety Administrator or Facility Manager role to edit the record.
  1. Sign in as Health & Safety Management or Health & Safety Facility Management.
  2. Select Safety Management > Safety Incidents.
    Or,

    Select Safety Management > Near Misses.

  3. On the Active tab, highlight or select an incident record without opening it.
  4. Click the Assign Investigator action.
  5. Complete the Investigator field by selecting an employee to investigate the incident.

    Any employee can be assigned to investigate an incident.

  6. Click Submit.

    The incident record is displayed with the name of the assignee in the Assign Investigator column.

    After the investigation is resolved, the assigning administrator receives an Investigation Completed notification.

    Note: An administrator sets up and assigns a template for this notification. See Defining a safety-observation email template. An administrator can assign the template to notifications of this type of event. See Configuring safety emails and notifications.
