Creating disability types

Disability types can be used to identify a disabled resource's specific work condition needs. They can help to track an organization's hiring practices that affect people with disabilities.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Personal Information > Disability Types.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Effective Date

    This field is required. Specify an effective date.

    Disability Type

    This field is required. Specify the disability type name. For example, MS, MR, HEARING LOSS, BLINDNESS.

    Description

    Specify a description for the disability type. If left blank, the disability type name defaults.

    Active

    Select this check box to make the disability type active. The disability type is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

    Disability Severity

    Select the disability severity. If a suitable option is not available, you can create one.

    Restrict Selection By Country
    Select this check box to make the disability type hidden or available depending on the country. See the Infor HR Talent Administration Guide for more information on configurable fields.
  4. Click Save.
