Creating travel-document types

For resources who travel frequently or may work in a country other than their country of citizenship, an organization may want to keep track of their travel documents such as passport, visa, or work permit. A resource's travel documents are specified in the Travel Documents region of the resource's personal information.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Personal Information > Travel Documents > Travel Document Types.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify an effective date.

    Travel Document Type

    Required. Specify a name for the travel-document type. For example, PASSPORT, VISA, WORKPERMIT.

    Description

    Specify a description for the travel-document type. If left blank, the travel-document-type name defaults.

    Active

    Select this check box to make the travel-document type active. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

  4. Click Save.
