Creating documents from document templates

Upload the document template to Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Resource Document Templates.

An organization usually has standardized documents that are associated with a resource on hire, transfer, termination, and other such events. The Create action lets you generate a Word document from a stored RTF document template that uses merge fields to resolve variable information.

  1. Select Administrator > Resources > Resources.
  2. Right-click the resource for whom the document is being created, and select Create Document.
  3. Select the document template that will be used to generate the document, and click OK.
  4. Access the resource's profile, click the Personal Information tab, and verify that the document is in the Attachments section.
  5. Verify that the document generated properly.

    To view the document, open the attachment, click the arrow, and select Open.
