Pay structure for time entry

Most of the setup that is required for time entry is described in Infor Payroll Setup and Administration Guide. This includes using the Pay Structure page in the Time Administrator > Setup > Pay Structure menu to perform these tasks:

  • Create service codes, if the organization uses Absence Management
  • Create pay codes (also called payroll codes), which are required for both time records and Absence Management
  • Create a custom group (also called eligibility group) to assign to each pay code
  • Create shift tables, which are associated with pay codes to determine how additional payment amounts (shift differential) are calculated
  • Create pay-summary groups, which are used to summarize hours in the Total Hours by Period report
