Creating marital statuses

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Personal Information > Marital Statuses.
  2. Click Create, and specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify an effective date.

    Marital Status

    Required. Specify the marital status name.

    Description

    Specify a description for the marital status. If no data is specified, then the marital status name defaults.

    Active

    Select this check box to make the marital status active. The marital status is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

    HPIAA Marital Status
    Specify the HIPAA-compliant marital status that is used in 834 report exports. If your organization does not export HPIAA reports, then this field is not required.
    Restrict Selection By Country
    This option is available if marital status selection is restricted by country and a filter is set. Select this option to make the marital status hidden or available depending on the country.

  3. Click Save.
