Mass actions for resource maintenance

Administrators can use mass actions to make changes to multiple work assignments or employee profiles at once. Changes are imported into Infor HR Talent from a .csv spreadsheet file. After you create the .csv file, it can be imported in two ways:
  • You can create a file channel and upload it to a source file directory.
  • You can create a processing group for a specific mass action to which you upload the file directly.

After you import the .csv file, you must validate and submit the mass action to complete the process. See Maintaining resources with mass actions.

These mass actions can be performed on work assignments:

  • Change Pay Rate: Updates the Pay Rate field on the work assignments of employees whose pay you select to change.
  • Promote: Updates the Position field on the work assignments of employees you select to receive a promotion.
  • Transfer: Updates fields such as Position, Organization Unit, Location, and Direct Supervisor on the work assignments of employees you select to transfer.
  • Update: Updates fields such as Work Schedule, Shift, Union, and Bargaining Unit on the work assignments of employees you select to update.

These mass actions can be performed on employees:

  • Basic Hire: Creates employee profiles and work assignments for employees who are newly hired.
  • Basic Rehire: Updates employment related fields such as Organization Unit, Salary Structure, and Start Date on the profiles of employees who have been rehired.
  • Terminate: Updates fields such as Relationship To Organization, Relationship Status, and Termination Notice on the profiles of employees who have been terminated.
  • Update: Updates fields such as Ethnicity, Religion, Marital Status, Nationality, Nationality Country, and Citizenship Country on the profiles of employees you select to update.
