Creating reasonable accommodations

Use reasonable accommodations to define what reasonable accommodations can be made for employees that have work restrictions. For example, a reasonable accommodation for a resource who cannot lift heavy weights would be to assign the resource to a position where heavy lifting is not needed, or to assign someone else to do any heavy lifting needed in the work environment.

To define a work restriction

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Personal Information > Reasonable Accommodation.
  2. Click Create, and specify this information:
    Reasonable Accommodation

Required. Specify the reasonable accommodation name.

    Description

Specify a description for the reasonable accommodation. If left blank, the reasonable accommodation name defaults.

    Active

The reasonable accommodation is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.
