Adding instant message addresses

  1. Select Administrator > Resources > Resources.
  2. Open the resource to update.
  3. Click the Personal Information tab.
  4. In the Contact Information section, click Add IM, and specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify the effective date.

    Active

    The IM is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

    Description

    Specify a description for this IM (for example, personal).

    Instant Message Address

    Specify the instant message address.

    Network

    Specify the network for the instant message address (for example, Yahoo).

    Preferred Instant Message

    Select to use this instant message address as the preferred instant message contact.

    When Available

    If this is a preferred contact, specify the best time to use this contact method. For example, evenings.

  5. Click OK.
