Transfers

A transfer affects only the resource's selected work assignment, the resource's direct manager, the resource's position, and/or the resource's salary. Recruiters can use transfer actions only for internal candidates.

You can select a different work assignment to update on the request. You can add a new employment contract, if it is not already defined on the offer. If an employment contract is defined and approved on the offer, it is created in draft status as soon as the transfer action is completed. The contract document can be changed only through an employment contract amendment.

Added assignments

The add assignment request action adds a new work assignment for the resource. The resource's current work assignments remain unchanged. If no work assignments exist, the new work assignment is created as the primary assignment. If work assignments already exist, the work assignment is not the primary assignment.

Recruiters can add assignments only for internal candidates. You can add a new employment contract, if it is not already defined on the offer. If an employment contract is defined and approved on the offer, it is created in draft status as soon as the add-assignment action is completed. The contract document can be changed only through an employment contract amendment.

Promotions

By default, the promote actions update the resource's current primary work assignment. You can select a different work assignment to update on the request. Recruiters can use promote actions only for internal candidates.

You can add a new employment contract, if it is not already defined on the offer. If an employment contract is defined and approved on the offer, it is created in draft status as soon as the promote action is completed. The contract document can be changed only through an employment contract amendment.

Rehires

If an external candidate is a former employee, the recruiter or recruiter administrator uses the rehire request action. An HR administrator or HR generalist can also rehire. There are no restrictions on which resources you can rehire. For example, you can rehire an employee who returned from a leave of absence. You can also hire an employee on an indefinite-term contract what was previously on a fixed-term contract. A terminated resource can be rehired.

Rehire actions are performed from the candidate’s job application after an offer has been accepted. The rehire action lets you add a resource's contract and update or add a work assignment. The rehire can affect all fields except for the resource's address and contact information.
