Creating professional categories

Use this procedure to define professional categories that can be assigned a pay rate that can be used to realistically estimate the salary costs associated with activities.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Work Assignment > Professional Categories.
  2. Click Create, and specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify an effective date.

    Professional Category

    Specify the professional category name.

    Description

    Specify the description of the professional category. If left blank, the professional category name defaults.

    Learning Hourly Rate

    Specify the learning hourly rate for this professional category.

    Currency

    If you specify a pay rate, select the currency in which the pay rate is expressed.

    Active

    Select this check box to make the professional category active. Inactive professional categories are not displayed in lists.

  3. Click Save.
