Time entry

Employees and other resources can use time entry functionality to track their time.

For procedures to create time records, see the Infor HR Talent Employee User Guide.

  • Employees can add time using a calendar or by selecting a pay period.
  • Employees can only add and submit time for pay periods where the current date falls within the time entry date range for the pay period.
  • Time records become locked when submitted. There is no approval process so the status of the time record immediately changes to Approved when submitted.
  • The payment schedule on the work assignment determines the valid pay periods for time entry.
  • A work assignment must have a payment schedule assigned to it to add time for the work assignment. The payment frequency on the Payment Schedule must match the payment frequency on the Work Assignment.

Time Entry Administrator role

This is a security role for the time-record-approval process and some setup. You can use this role to create one-time processes such as organization configuration for automatic batch numbering and to create action reasons for time entry approval. Users with this role can create annual processes such as creating pay periods and holiday schedules. They can run pay period processes such as creating standard time records, creating holiday time records, administering time entry dates on pay periods, approving time records, and running the time record interface.
