Change address actions

To specify action reasons on Change Address actions, employees and managers must define action reasons with the subject HCMEmployeeAddressActionRequestAddress.

If your organization does not require an approval process for an address change, then the address change is made immediately.

If your organization requires an approval process for an address change, then the administrators and generalists can specify address changes in these ways:
  • Change addresses directly on the resource's profile
  • Use the Change Address action
Addresses that are changed directly on the resource's profile are displayed. Email notifications are not sent.

If the address is changed through the Change Address action, then the request is processed similar to employee or manager requests. The changes are not made immediately. To change the address in the resource profile, you must approve the request by selecting Administrator > To Do > Pending Requests.

These are additional information for processing pending requests for name change, address addition, or address change:
  • In Employee Space and Manager Space, a Pending Address link is displayed next to the Change Address button on the resource's profile. The employee and manager can open, change, or cancel the request until the request is approved, cancelled, or rejected.
  • If you configure the email automation for the resource information, then email notifications are sent immediately.

  • If a supporting document is attached to a change address request, then a supporting document is attached to an email notification. Administrators and generalists can view the document in the pending change address request.

  • The supporting document is discarded when the request is approved, cancelled, or rejected.

If address categories are defined, then you can associate an address to a temporary home address, work address, and other address categories.
