Upline approval routing following the direct manager

In this option, the appraisal approval process is defined by the employee’s current manager structure.
  1. The appraisal is routed first to the Inbasket of the employee's manager’s manager for approval.
    • If rejected, the appraisal is returned to the employee's manager.

    • If approved, the appraisal might required an acknowledgment. If acknowledgment is not required, the appraisal is archived as historical.

  2. There are four options available for acknowledgment.
    • The appraisal is routed back to the manager, then back to the employee to acknowledge the appraisal. Comments may be required from the manager, and may be available for the employee. After it is acknowledged, the appraisal is archived as historical.
    • Only the manager is required to acknowledge the appraisal, located in their Inbasket. Comments may be required.
    • Only the employee is required to acknowledges the appraisal, located in their Inbasket or on the Pending Acknowledgment tab for My Reviews. Comments may be available.
    • If acknowledgment is not required, the appraisal is archived as historical after it is approved.
  3. After the appraisal is approved and acknowledged, it is archived as historical.
