Completing an appraisal on behalf of resources, other raters, or managers

Note: This situation would only happen when the resource or manager cannot access the system. The data is provided by the resource or manager through other channels.
  1. Select Administrator > Performance > Appraisal Maintenance.
  2. On the Active tab, select or open the resource, other rater, or manager appraisal.
  3. If the appraisal is in Draft status, click Start Appraisal. If the appraisal is in an In Progress status, click Continue Appraisal.
    Note: You have the same view of the appraisal as the employee, manager, or other rater has in their own spaces.
  4. Provide responses to all the Evaluate Criteria sections. If an asterisk (*) displays next to a Comments box, comments are required.
    Note: Click Next at the end of a section to save the section and continue with the appraisal. Click Save And Close to save and exit the appraisal form.
  5. If an Evaluate Goals section exists, provide a rating for all the goals.
  6. If a Completed Activities section exists, click the tab to review the activities the resource has completed.
    If the continuous development module is active, continuous development data, such as learning activity, is displayed.

    This section also lists unvalidated competencies, skills, credentials, and education, if they exist.

  7. If a Planned Activities section exists, click the tab to review the activity requests and personal activities that the resource currently has in process.
    If the continuous development module is active, continuous development data, such as learning activity, is displayed.

    This section also lists gaps in competencies, skills, education, and credentials, if they exist as the result of a gap analysis.

  8. If an Overall Comments section exists, specify comments.
  9. When the appraisal is complete, click Finalize.
    • A finalized manager appraisal becomes available to the employee and is displayed on the Ready For Review tab of employees, managers, and administrators.
    • A finalized self appraisal becomes available to the resource's manager and is displayed on the Historical tab of employees, managers, and administrators.
    • A finalized other rater appraisal becomes available to the manager of the resource for whom the other rater appraisal is completed. The appraisal is displayed on the Historical tab of employees, managers, and administrators.
