Third-party section calculation

If a form contains a third-party section, the manager or administrator is asked to specify or import a maximum score and a score. The scores might be obtained from a third-party performance tool. To be included in overall calculations, the third-party section must be assigned a weight.

  1. The third party score is calculated with this information to form the equivalent level against the overall rating scale levels.
    Normalized Score = (1 + ((Input - 1) * (Overall Rating Scale Levels - 1)) / (Maximum third-party score - 1))
  2. The resulting score is the third-party section score that is displayed on the appraisal summary, in text and graph.

Example

Score Maximum third-party score
Third-party score 40 50
Third-party section score

This section is a non-weighted score that is based on an overall rating scale with 5 levels.

=(1+((40-1)*(5-1))/(50-1)) = 4.18
